My goal is to provide you with lots of information about Florida and in particular, the Gulf Coast of Florida where you’ll find the sparkling jewel called Sarasota.  Here you’ll learn all about Florida Real Estate available including homes, condominiums, rackominiums, equestrian, golf and waterfront communities.  My MLS Search is fun and easy to use and is the most complete source for current real estate listings in the Sarasota area.

I’m licensed in the State of Florida and specialize in the greater Sarasota area including Bradenton, Longboat Key, Siesta Key, Lakewood Ranch, Casey Key, Osprey, Nokomis and Venice.

I was raised in Ohio, where I spent many weeks and weekends at my grandparent’s farm.  There, along with my 8 brothers and sisters, I learned the meaning of hard work.  Up at 5:00 am every morning, my grandfather and I would milk the cows, brush the horses, feed the chickens, bail the hay and by 5:00 pm, would return to help my grandmother cook dinner.  When I look back at those times, I realize how much that farm molded my life and my work ethic.

I worked in the printing industry for 15 years selling high end collateral materials and packaging to advertising agencies and corporations.  During that time I developed a strong sense of customer service.  My sales skills were honed and in the process of selling, I realized that by servicing the customer, my sales would soar.  I learned a lot from my customers, too.  Because I was working with high-end marketing executives, I became very astute about the psychology of marketing a product or service.

It was natural for me then, to enter the Real Estate business.  After all, my mother and father were both Realtors when I was growing up.  Since providing great customer service is so important to me, it was essential that I create alliances with service providers that I could trust would provide the same quality and level of service to my clients.

I have a complete list of trusted mortgage providers, title companies, homeowners insurance, appraisers and property inspectors at my fingertips.  I’ve always been a believer that knowledge is power and I embrace education in any way I can get it.  I loved earning my CRS designation (Certified Residential Specialist).  The courses were offered outside of my area and it was really so nice to meet other like-minded Realtors.  I have enjoyed many friendships and referrals from these classes.

Certified Distress Property Expert

Knowing that today’s market evolves around distressed properties, I recently became certified as a “CDPE”, Certified Distressed Property Expert.  Part of being a Realtor, is the compassion you feel for those in distress and the desire to help these people through tough times.  I felt I wanted to do this, but to do it with professionalism and to guide folks through the process in a way that got results.

One of my philosophies in life is to share what I know.  It’s my joy to share my knowledge with other Realtors throughout the country and within my own area of Sarasota.  Mentoring a young Realtor and watching her grow and blossom is one of my great pleasures in life.  I’m good at setting up systems and setting goals and love to help others do the same.  Because I receive so many buyer/seller leads from the Internet, I have set up a system where I refer the qualified buyers out to agents.  I have a pool of 15 highly trained and professional Realtors.  I also have an e-lead manager who will contact all of the leads as they come in and will keep in touch with them until they are ready to purchase a home or sell a home here in Sarasota.  Since I began this system, I have earned the Platinum Award with RE/MAX and have made it into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame.

I adore the Internet and how it has evolved over the years to the advantage of the Real Estate Professional and the home buyer or home seller.  I earned my e-PRO designation early on because I saw the Internet as a means to find buyers and sellers.  Isn’t it wonderful how you can search for homes at your leisure, study the market, get information on mortgages, the buying process, the selling process and even get down into the very neighborhood where you’d like to live?  I’m tech savvy which has helped my business tremendously, but I never forget that when you come to my website and leave your name, you’re not just another Internet lead.  You are a person with a lot of history.  You are someone who has feelings and wants and needs and you’re probably looking for a professional Realtor that you can trust.  I never forget that and my hope is that we can work together to obtain whatever goals you are trying to achieve for yourself and your family.  And I do that with passion and compassion.
